Double
Vision
|
Double Vision uses the premise of a demure woman deciding to inhabit the racy lifestyle of her alter ego – who is here her deceased twin sister. Kim Cattrall plays this dual role, and her icy air of dissociation – which created a black hole at the centre of many a movie in her pre-Sex and the City career – is here used to excellent effect. Directed by Richard Knights from a best seller by Mary Higgins Clark, the film is an intriguing blend of genres and elements – supernatural thriller, erotic psychodrama, Bette Davis-style melodrama. © Adrian Martin July 1993 |
